PisoPip: terms of use

What this site is, how it is paid for, and what it does not promise.

Updated Oct 2026 · how we rate brokers

Our material, and your use of it

Read it, print it, quote it with a link back. Whole pages must not be republished as your own, and the site must not be scraped to rebuild it elsewhere. The register extracts come from public records and belong to nobody; the writing around them is ours.

Questions about reuse, and anything else about these terms: [email protected].

Where the line runs

General information about how licensing and trading work
That is what this site publishes
A recommendation of a broker, a pair or a position size
Not here, and not by mail
Anything adjusted to your income, debts or tolerance for loss
We do not know them and never ask
Advice as the SEC Philippines defines it
A regulated activity; we are not licensed for it

If you want advice, take it from someone the SEC Philippines authorises to give it.

Information, not a recommendation

Everything on PisoPip is general information about how forex trading and broker licensing work in the Philippines. This should not be taken as financial advice, a recommendation or an offer. Since we do not know your income, your obligations or your tolerance for loss, nothing here is adjusted to them.

Giving investment advice in the Philippines is a regulated activity. It is not covered by our licence, and we do not carry it on. If you want advice, take it from someone the SEC Philippines authorises to give it.

How a correction travels
StepWhat happensWhen
1 · You writeThe page address and what the correct value isAny time
2 · We check itAgainst the public source you name, not against our own pageSame week
3 · The page changesThe figure is replaced and the page says it was correctedWith the date on it

A number is never quietly edited to leave the page looking as though it always said that.

How the bills are paid

Some outbound links to brokers are partner links: if you open an account through one, we may be paid by the broker. There is no extra charge for you, and this site remains unaffected by the payment. No firm can pay to appear in the register extract, to be removed from it or to have its status described differently, since it is copied from the regulator.

The markup marks all partner links as sponsored, and each one sits behind a label indicating its destination. Editorial placement is not sold by us, and we do not rank brokers.

Accuracy, and its limits

Registers change daily, brokers change their terms, and a page is a snapshot of the day it was written. What we publish carries a date and a statement of where it came from, so you can check it at the source, which alone is current.

No warranty is given by us that the site will be complete, error-free or uninterrupted. Where a figure matters to a decision about money, check it against the SEC Philippines register or the broker's own documents before you act on it.

What goes stale here, and how fast
WhatHow it agesWhat to do
The SEC Philippines register extractChanges whenever the regulator updates itRe-read it at sec.gov.ph before you deposit
A broker's terms and feesChange without noticeThe broker's own documents are the current version
Session hoursShift by an hour when London and New York change clocksThe page says which period it shows
USD/PHPMoves every trading dayIndicative only; your broker converts at its own rate

The site is a snapshot dated on the page. If a figure decides something about money, verify it at the source.

Before you risk money

Leveraged forex and CFD trading can lose you more than a small share of your deposit, quickly. Most retail accounts lose money. Supervision follows from a licence; safety from trading losses does not. No page on this site should be read as suggesting your money is safe from such losses.

Supervision and solvency are different questions from whether a position goes against you. A SEC Philippines licence speaks to how a firm must hold client money, report and handle complaints; it says nothing about the market. The part that decides how long a position survives is the arithmetic below, and at every broker it is the same: leverage sets the margin, and the margin sets how small a move takes it.

Sites we link to

We link to regulators, exchanges, central banks and brokers. We are not responsible for what those sites publish and do not control them; nor is a link an endorsement, least of all a link to a warning about a firm.

The links that matter most here are the ones to the SEC Philippines register and to a broker's own terms, because those are the documents that decide the question, and ours is only a reading of them. If this site and the source differ, the source takes precedence, and we would like to be told about it.

What a link from here means

Regulators, central banks and exchanges
Cited as the source of a figure — never an endorsement
A warning notice about a firm
Linked because it exists, not because we agree or disagree
A broker
Partner link, marked sponsored, through this domain's own redirect
Anything else we link
We do not control it and are not responsible for what it publishes

A link is a pointer to a source, and the source is the version that is current.

Is this financial advice?
No. It is general information. Advice in the Philippines is regulated and we are not licensed to give it.
Do brokers pay to be listed?
No. The register extract is copied from the regulator. A company cannot pay to be included in it, to be excluded from it, or to have its status worded another way.
Can I quote a page?
Yes, with a link back. Whole pages must not be republished, and the site must not be scraped to rebuild it elsewhere.
